Welcome to Inner Peace & Enlightenment Therapy
Hello and welcome. I'm truly glad you’ve found your way here. At Inner Peace, our intention is to provide a gentle, supportive space where you can explore your story, past, present, and future, and begin reconnecting with yourself in a way that feels grounded, balanced, and real.
Inner Peace is about feeling calm, centered, and in harmony with yourself, even amidst life’s challenges. Enlightenment is the gentle unfolding of awareness and understanding, helping you see your patterns, strengths, and possibilities with clarity and compassion. Together, they create a space where healing, growth, and self-discovery can flourish.
We’re here to help you live more authentically, reconnect with what truly matters, and gently release what no longer serves you. You deserve a place to slow down, feel heard, and gain tools that support meaningful growth. Therapy is rooted in connection, and finding the right guide for your journey is an important part of that process.
In our work together, you can expect empathy, compassion, authenticity, empowerment, and collaboration. Together, we’ll gently untangle patterns that feel overwhelming and build skills that foster lasting change using approaches tailored to your unique needs. My hope is to help you move from simply surviving to feeling grounded, capable, and deeply connected to yourself, your values, and your inner peace.
The Person Behind the Practice
Stephanie Scott-Lewis

I’ve felt a deep calling to help people for as long as I can remember. I’ve always been a highly sensitive, empathic person, and supporting others has felt like my purpose since childhood. Even now, the intuitive and spiritual aspects of who I am affirm that I’m exactly where I’m meant to be as a healer and a helper.
Authenticity is at the core of who I am. With me, you can expect warmth, trauma-informed care, gentle humor when it fits, and a genuine connection. I’m down to earth and have a bit of a witchy side, and I welcome you exactly as you are. My approach is integrative and flexible. I draw from a range of theories and techniques so that therapy meets you where you are. There is no one-size-fits-all path to healing; we’ll discover what works best for you together. I believe healing grows through connection, and that you already carry wisdom and strength within you.
I’m originally from Ontario, Canada, and my first language is French. I moved to Virginia nearly 20 years ago after meeting my partner on World of Warcraft. I’ve been a military spouse since 2007, giving me firsthand understanding of Navy life from the spouse’s perspective. I’m a mother of two kids and five fur babies. Outside of counseling, I love board games, a bit of gaming, traveling, music, time with my family, and all things crafty.
My commitment to your journey is to show up as my real, authentic self and offer a calm, grounded space where you can set down the things you no longer want to carry.
How I describe myself as a “Queer Witchy Therapist”
When I call myself a queer, witchy therapist, I’m sharing parts of who I am that shape the way I show up in the therapy room.
Queer reflects my identity within the LGBTQ+ community and signals that my space is fully affirming for queer, trans, and gender-expansive clients. It matters to me that people who often feel misunderstood can feel safe, seen, and welcomed here.
Witchy speaks to the intuitive, spiritual side of my personality. I connect with earth-based practices, energy work, and the idea that healing can be both grounded and a little magical. This doesn’t replace therapeutic techniques; it simply adds warmth, creativity, and intuition to the way I understand people and hold space for them.
- being deeply attuned and intuitive
- honoring cycles, energy, and connection
- seeing healing as both emotional and soulful
- embracing authenticity, symbolism, and gentle ritual
- welcoming clients who resonate with spirituality, intuition, or alternative paths
For me, "witchy" means:
- inclusive
- nonjudgmental
- spiritual in a grounded way
- comfortable with nuance, complexity, and individuality
- committed to meeting you exactly as you are
